Wet Cleaning is chemical-free fabric cleaning where water and soap are added to specialized computer- controlled machines with garments. Clothing can be agitated gently at the desired temperature. Green Laundry Lounge is an upscale laundromat that offers wash and fold service, state of the art wet cleaning, and a café with delicious coffee and scrumptious baked goods and farm-to-table food offerings.
Why is it called Green Laundry Lounge?
We are committed to providing the community with an easy, stress free laundry experience (Laundry) as well as Organic Dry Cleaning (Chemical Free) and a place to drink and eat (Lounge) all while focusing on the environment (Green). So that is ultimately how the beautiful concept became GREEN LAUNDRY LOUNGE.
How is Green Laundry
Lounge actually "Green"?
The concept of "Green" is incorporated in all 3 areas of GLL. The washers and dryers are energy water efficient. We use our own brand of soaps which is chemical and solvent free, it is bio-degradable and 100% sustainable. We use wet cleaning versus dry cleaning for our professional garment cleaning. We are hyper local, using mostly local ingredients, organic and non-gmo.
What is wet cleaning?
Wet cleaning is an environmentally friendly alternative to dry cleaning. Unlike dry cleaning which uses chemical solvents, wet cleaning uses water based cleaning agents.
How does the wash and
fold service work?
You simply come in to the lounge, give your dirty laundry to the attendant, and we take care of the rest! If you cannot come to us, no worries! We offer pick up and delivery service also. You can also use Green Laundry Lounge mobile app or website to place an order for pickup/delivery
What can you find in our café?
The café offers coffee, alcoholic beverages (beer and wine), non-alcoholic beverages (kombucha, local soft drinks, closed pressed juice), baked goods, and Indian-American fusion dishes such as butter chicken bowl and dal chawal. Our menu changes seasonally, so you are always in for a treat!
